O HULU lança em 14 de outubro de 2022, o filme ROSALINE, dirigido pela cineasta americana Karen Maine.
O filme se baseia no romance de Rebecca Serle, que imagina como seria o eterno romance de Romeu e Julieta – uma das obras primas de William Shakespeare – se a ex de Romeu vivesse se intrometendo entre os dois para tentar reaver o amor do rapaz.
Este divertido ponto de partida do filme de Maine ganhou força pelo fato da ciumenta protagonista, Rosaline ser interpretada pela super ascendente jovem atriz Kaitlyn Dever, 26 anos, vista em UNBELIEVABLE, BOOKSMART e DOPESICK. Dever é uma das apostas altas de Hollywood na nova geração, capaz de ir do drama à comédia com igual desenvoltura.
O casal Romeu e Julieta é interpretado Kyle allen e Isabela Merced. Pelo trailer já se vê que o filme não deixa nada intocado da obra romântica mais famosa de todos os tempos.
Minnie Driver e Bradley Whitford também estão no elenco.

The film is based on the novel by Rebecca Serle, who imagines what the eternal romance of Romeo and Juliet – one of William Shakespeare‘s masterpieces – would be like if Romeo’s ex lived between the two to try to regain the boy’s love.
This amusing starting point for the Maine film was bolstered by the fact that the jealous protagonist, Rosaline, is played by the super-rising young actress Kaitlyn Dever, 26, seen in UNBELIEVABLE, BOOKSMART and DOPESICK. Dever is one of Hollywood’s high stakes in the new generation, able to go from drama to comedy with equal talent.
The couple Romeo and Juliet is played by Kyle Allen and Isabela Merced. From the trailer you can already see that the film leaves nothing untouched of the most famous romantic story of all time.
