A NETFLIX estreou o drama O ENFERMEIRO DA NOITE (THE GOOD NURSE), narrando a história real de Charlie Cullen, um jovem enfermeiro americano que se acredita tenha matado mais de uma centena de pessoas, ao longo dos dez anos em que trabalhou em hospitais.
O destaque do filme dirigido pelo cineasta dinamarquês Tobias Lindholm (roteirista dos ótimos THE HUNT e ANOTHER ROUND) é seu duo central de atores.
Jessica Chastain é uma das melhores atrizes da nova geração. Ela trabalha cada vez melhor e sua enfermeira Amy Loughren é uma personagem que convive com a doença em vários níveis, o que lhe retira a alegria, embora seja uma profissional corajosa, dedicada e comprometida com sua missão de diminuir o sofrimento dos outros (pacientes e familiares). Não à toa é ela que se dispõe a ajudar os policiais (Noah Emmerich e Nnamdi Asomugha) .
Eddie Redmayne – que vive o assassino Cullen – é outro ator ótimo. Cada trabalho dele é construído por expressões, olhares e gestos corporais próprios. Cullen é cativante e, ao mesmo tempo, assustador.
Outro ponto alto do filme é a dificuldade que os policiais têm para investigar as mortes. Hospitais, seguradoras, advogados, todos estão preocupados unicamente em preservar seus patrimônios, nada contribuindo para afastar o serial killer.
THE GOOD NURSE é uma história impressionante. Real e aterrorizante.
NETFLIX premiered the drama THE GOOD NURSE, narrating the true story of Charlie Cullen, a young American nurse who is believed to have killed more than a hundred people, over the ten years he worked in hospitals.
The highlight of the film directed by Danish filmmaker Tobias Lindholm (screenwriter of the great THE HUNT and ANOTHER ROUND) is its central duo of actors.
Jessica Chastain is one of the best actresses of the new generation. She works better and better and her nurse Amy Loughren is a character who lives with the disease on several levels, which takes away her joy, although she is a courageous professional, dedicated and committed to her mission to reduce the suffering of others (patients and relatives). No wonder she is willing to help the police (Noah Emmerich and Nnamdi Asomugha).
Eddie Redmayne – who plays Cullen – is another great actor. Each of his works is constructed by his own expressions, looks and body gestures. Cullen is captivating and terrifying at the same time.
Another high point of the film is the difficulty that the police have to investigate the deaths. Hospitals, insurance companies, lawyers, all are concerned solely with preserving their assets, doing nothing to ward off the serial killer.
THE GOOD NURSE is an impressive story. Real and terrifying.
