O filme argentino QUESTIÓN DE PRINCIPIOS, de Rodrigo Grande, rodado em 2009 está em cartaz no Amazon Prime Vídeo.
Logo que deparei com os nomes de Federico Luppi e Norma Aleandro como protagonistas, fui ver correndo.
Um idoso, funcionário burocrático de uma empresa, um dia recebe uma proposta de seu chefe milionário: lhe vender uma revista antiga, cujo exemplar tem uma matéria sobre os primórdios da companhia, onde trabalhou o pai do empregado que a guardava.
O conflito está estabelecido: precisando de dinheiro para comprar um carro, custear a viagem do filho e poder realizar outros sonhos da idade avançada ou manter a relíquia onde aparece seu pai.
A cada negativa da venda, mais sobe a oferta do chefe, chegando a números obscenos.
Federico Luppi, que vive o empregado Adalberto Castilla, com a classe habitual de Luppi dá um show como uma pessoa dividida entre seus princípios e a sedução do dinheiro. Norma Aleandro, outra atriz extraordinária, vive a esposa Sarita que tenta, a qualquer custo, convencer o marido a vender a revista. Pablo Echarri é Silva, o chefe endinheirado.
Vi o filme absolutamente deliciado pela trama e pela categoria invulgar dos atores.
Confesso que achei a solução final um pouco decepcionante.
Mesmo assim, vale muito a pena ver UMA QUESTÃO DE PRINCÍPIOS, mais um ‘timo filme argentino a aportar no streaming.

As soon as I came across the names of Federico Luppi and Norma Aleandro as protagonists, I went to see it ASAP.
An elderly, bureaucratic employee of a company, one day receives a proposal from his millionaire boss: to sell him an old magazine, whose copy has an article about the beginnings of the company, where the father of the employee who kept it worked.
The conflict is established: needing money to buy a car, pay for the son’s trip and be able to fulfill other dreams of old age or keep the relic where his father appears.
With each refusal of the sale, the boss’s offer goes up, reaching obscene numbers.
Federico Luppi, who plays the employee Adalberto Castilla, with Luppi’s usual class, gives a show as a person divided between his principles and the seduction of money. Norma Aleandro, another extraordinary actress, plays the wife Sarita who tries, at any cost, to convince her husband to sell the magazine. Pablo Echarri is Silva, the wealthy boss.
I saw the film absolutely delighted by the plot and the unusual category of the actors.
I confess that I found the final solution a little disappointing.
Even so, it’s really worth watching A MATTER OF PRINCIPLES, another ‘great Argentine film to arrive on streaming.
