Depois de toda confusão sobre a incrível falta de diversidade no quadro de membros da HFPA – Hollywood Foreign Press Association o Globo de Ouro voltou à cena ontem à noite.
Foi uma ginacana para ver. Vi no Peacock que, com o acesso via VPN mostrou a cerimônia que a NBC transmitia. Foi longa, excessiva, mas repleta de figurinhas carimbadas, o que mais gostamos de ver.
O Hotel Beverly Hilton recebeu o cômico Jerrod Carmichael que foi o âncora da festa.
Gostri que OS FABELMANS, de Steven Spielberg tenha canho dois dos principais prêmios, filme dramático e direção. Spielberg realmente é um ícone de Hollywood e este parece ser o seu filme mais auto biográfico. Vou ver certo neste próximo final de semana.
Cate Blanchett segue sendo a barbada da estação. Não há como alguém ver TÁR e não premiar o que ela faz na tela. No Globo de Ouro, pela divisão entre filme drama e musical ou comédia se pode dar um merecido prêmio à Michelle Yeoh, por EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE, um dos sucessos do ano.
Outro prêmio que me emocionou foi o de melhor filme de língua não inglesa, para ARGENTINA 1985, de Santiago Mitre. É um filmaço e merece todas as láureas. E ver Ricardo Darin no palco de Hollywood sendo reconhecido foi demais.
BANSHEES OF INISHERIN foi outro filme consagrado ontem. É realmente um filmaço. ELVIS foi outra obra reconhecida. Baz Luhran fez um belo tributo ao King.
Gostei dos prêmios para a série O URSO, para WHITE LOTUS 2 e Kevin Costner (YELLOWSTONE) e Zendaya (EUPHORIA). Todos são demais.
PINOCCHIO, de Guillermo del Toro também mereceu o pr6emio de ganhou. É um belo trabalho.
Como em todas as cerimônias de premiação, houve prêmios imerecidos e prêmios discutíveis.
Mas ao menos, com o esforço da HPFPA para corrigir seus desvios, o Globo de Ouro não morreu.
After all the confusion about the incredible lack of diversity in the HFPA – Hollywood Foreign Press Association membership, the Golden Globes returned to the scene last night.
It was a gymnastics to see. I saw on Peacock that, with access via VPN, it showed the ceremony that NBC was transmitting.
It was long, excessive, but full of stamped figures, which we most like to see.
The Beverly Hilton Hotel welcomed the comic Jerrod Carmichael who was the anchor of the party.
I liked that THE FABELMANS, by Steven Spielberg won two of the main prizes, dramatic film and directing. Spielberg truly is a Hollywood icon and this appears to be his most autobiographical film. I’ll see for sure this coming weekend.
Cate Blanchett remains the hottie of the season. There’s no way anyone can watch TÁR and not reward what she does on screen.
At the Golden Globes, for the division between drama and musical or comedy film, Michelle Yeoh can be given a well-deserved award, for EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL AT ONCE, one of the successes of the year.
Another prize that moved me was the award for best non-English language film, for ARGENTINA 1985, by Santiago Mitre. It’s a great film and deserves all the laurels. And seeing Ricardo Darin on the Hollywood stage being recognized was awesome.
Another movie that was prized was BANSHEES OF INISHERIN. Well deserved. It is a great movie. ELVIS in anothe recognized title. Baz Luhran made a really sensitive tribute to the King.
I liked the awards for THE BEAR series, for WHITE LOTUS 2 and Kevin Costner (YELLOWSTONE) and Zendaya (EUPHORIA). All of them are too much.
PINOCCHIO, by Guillermo del Toro also deserved the prize of won. It’s a beautiful job.
As with all award ceremonies, there were undeserved awards and moot awards.
But at least, with the HPFPA’s effort to correct its deviations, the Golden Globes didn’t die.
