Vi o primeiro capítulo da série THE WATCHFUL EYE, em exibição no HULU.
A história, desde o início, me pereceu daquelas que mistura coisas demais.
Nas primeiras cenas, uma mulher se joga pela janela de um prédio de luxo.
Na cena seguinte, uma menina latina (Mariel Molino) se apresenta no prédio como candidata a nova baby sitter do filho da suicida.
O filme tem uma batida O BEBÊ DE ROSEMARY, claro sem a classe da obra prima de Polansky.
Parece haver algo sobrenatural no prédio, embora todos os moradores estejam a um passo da loucura.
Para complicar, a nova babá e seu namorado (um policial engomadinho) querem roubar um rubi da família rica onde ela trabalha, que os faria milionários. Uma coisa completamente furada.
Acho que não voltarei ao prédio de THE WATCHFUL EYE.
I saw the first chapter of THE WATCHFUL EYE series, showing on HULU.
The story, from the beginning, seemed to me like one that mixes too many things.
In the first scene, a woman throws herself through the window of a luxury building.
In the next scene, a Latina girl (Mariel Molino) presents herself in the building as a candidate for the new baby sitter of the suicide’s son.
The film has a beat ROSEMARY’S BABY, of course without the class of Polansky’s masterpiece.
There seems to be something supernatural about the building, yet all the residents are one step away from madness.
To complicate matters, the new nanny and her boyfriend (a slick policeman) want to steal a ruby from the rich family where she works, which would make them millionaires. Completely screwed up thing.
I don’t think I will be returning to THE WATCHFUL EYE building.
