Um grupo de famílias inglesas está aproveitando suas férias de verão em um resort nas Ilhas Canárias, quando o hotal é invadido por um grupo de ex-funcionários insatisfeitos, armados até os dentes que saem matando hóspedes e funcionários a esmo.
Um ex-policial se alia ao gerente do empreendimento para, ao melhor estilo DURO DE MATAR, caçar os terroristas e libertar o maior número possível de reféns enquanto não chega o auxílio policial.
A protagonista é a atriz inglesa Keeley Hawes, que viveu a Primeira Ministra em perigo na ótima série BODYGUARD. Aqui ela faz a destemida Jo, que sai pelos corredores do resort, de arma em punho atrás de terroristas e vítimas. Jo ainda tem um segredo: estava flertando com o marido da melhor amiga, também hóspedes do resort. A série ainda atribui a Jo a tarefe de fazer uma narrativa em off do que aconteceu, em um texto filosófico bem ruinzinho e de auto ajuda.
Os principais atores do cast são Lee Ingleby (o atual marido de Jo), Hugo Silva (o heróico gerente), Josette Simon e Daniel Ryan.
Com o mérito de ter apenas três capítulos, CROSSFIRE carece de roteiro e direção mais criativos. Boa parte da ação se passa nos corredores e subterrêneos do resort, negando a linda paisagem ao espectador. Foi um erro que ainda impôs certa monotonia à narrativa.
CROSSFIRE poderia ter sido bem melhor.

A group of English families are enjoying their summer vacation at a resort in the Canary Islands, when the hotel is invaded by a group of disgruntled ex-employees, armed to the teeth who go out killing guests and staff at random.
An ex-policewoman allies herself with the manager of the enterprise to, in the best DIE HARD style, hunt down the terrorists and free the largest possible number of hostages while waiting for police help to arrive.
The protagonist is the English actress Keeley Hawes, who lived the Prime Minister in danger in the great series BODYGUARD.
Here she plays the fearless Jo, who goes through the resort’s corridors, gun in hand, after terrorists and victims.
Jo still has a secret: she was flirting with her best friend’s husband, also guests at the resort.
The series also assigns Jo the task of making an off-screen narrative of what happened, in a very bad philosophical and self-help text.
The main actors in the cast are Lee Ingleby (Jo’s current husband), Hugo Silva (the heroic manager), Josette Simon and Daniel Ryan.
With the merit of having only three chapters, CROSSFIRE lacks a more creative script and direction.
Much of the action takes place in the resort’s corridors and basements, denying the viewer the beautiful landscape.
It was an error that still imposed a certain monotony on the narrative.
CROSSFIRE could have been a lot better.
