A excepcional Shailene Woodley vive a problemática policial Eleanor Falco, da Polícia de Baltimore. Na véspera do Ano Novo, um serial killer comete vários sofisticados assassinatos. O chefe da Agência local do FBI ouve as impressões da Policial Falco sobre o crime e a recruta para o Bureau.
A caçada que os dois empreendem atrás do culpado lembra inevitavelmente Clarice Starling e Jack Crawford buscando Bufalo Bill, na obra prima de Jonathan Demme, O SILÊNCIO DOS INOCENTES.
O chefe do FBI é o também muito talentoso ator australiano Ben Mendelson, visto em ROGUE ONE, THE DARK KNIGHT e na ótima série THE OUTSIDER, da HBO.
A dualidade de títulos nunca é um bom sinal, mas vou torcer para que TO CATCH A KILLER quebre esta maldição.
