A Disney+ está exibindo o filme PETER PAN & WENDY, dirigido pelo cineasta David Lowery.
Trata-se de uma excelente refilmagem da história imortal de Peter Pan, Capitão Gancho e a Terra do Nunca.
A produção é primorosa e o elenco jovem se sai maravilhosamente bem.
O veterano encarregado de liderar a gurizada é Jude Law, ótimo como o rancoroso Capitão Gancho.
Alexander Molony, Ever Anderson (filha de Milla Jovovich), Alyssa Wapanatahk e Yara Shahidi se saem ótimos como Peter, Wendy, Tiger Lily e Sininho.
Já houve inúmeras versões para o texto clássico que J.M.Barrie escreveu em 1904 como peça teatral e em 1911 com o livro. A mais conhecida é a animação da Disney. Mas até Steven Spielberg viajou à Terra do Nunca no delicioso HOOK, com Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman e Julia Roberts.
Eu, particularmente, adoro o filme EM BUSCA DA TERRA DO NUNCA, que Marc Forster dirigiu em 2004, com Johnny Depp e Kate Winslet, uma pequena obra prima. É um dos filmes que mais me fez chorar.
Por que gostei tanto dessa nova versão da Disney?
Acho que a produção – impecável em todos os detalhes repito – deu ênfase em dois tópicos essenciais do texto original: um é a paixão pela aventura e o outro o extremo humanismo de Peter Pan e Wendy.
PETER PAN & WENDY vale muito a pena ser visto.

The production is exquisite and the young cast does wonderfully.
The veteran in charge of leading the gang is Jude Law, great as the spiteful Captain Hook.

I particularly love the film FINDING NEVERLAND, which Marc Forster directed in 2004, with Johnny Depp and Kate Winslet, a little masterpiece. It’s one of the movies that made me cry the most.
Why did I like this new version of Disney so much?
I think the production – impeccable in every detail I repeat – emphasized two essential topics of the original text: one is the passion for adventure and the other the extreme humanism of Peter Pan and Wendy.
PETER PAN & WENDY is well worth seeing.
