O TIME DOS SONHOS (UNDERDOGS), um filme de 2013, dirigido pelo americano Doug Dearth está em cartaz na amazon Prime Vídeo.

Os filmes sobre times de basquete ou futebol americano sempre rendem tramas cheias de clichês, como a redenção pelo esporte, a possibilidade de vitória do mais fraco, treinadores enviando jovens a superar barreiras, jogadores adolescentes ou maduros.

Há muitos grandes filmes no gênero. HOOSIERS, com gene Hackman é um dos tantos que sempre cito como exemplar. Ou CINDERELLA MAN, com Russell Crowe, outra obra prima, aí sobre box.

UNDERDOGS está muito longe dessa prateleira.

Mesmo assim, é um filme bem produzido, com elenco competente e agradável de se ver.

Aqui temos a história ficcional de um time de futebol americano do high school, no estado de Ohio, que recebe um novo técnico e aí se anima para enfrentar os rivais da forte cidade vizinha.

D.B.Sweeney, a linda Maddie Hasson, William Mapother, Logan Huffman e Melora Waters compõem o cast.

Acho que a saudade do futebol americano (estamos na intertemporada) me ajudou a gostar mis do filme.

Aposte em UNDERDOGS. É uma sessão da tarde muito agradável de se ver.

Movies about basketball teams or American football always yield plots full of clichés, such as redemption through sport, the possibility of victory for the weakest, coaches sending to overcome barriers, adolescent or mature players.

There are many great movies in the genre.

HOOSIERS, with Gene Hackman is one of many that I always cite as exemplary. Or CINDERELLA MAN, with Russell Crowe, another masterpiece, on a box set.

UNDERDOGS is a long way off that shelf.

Even so, it is a well-produced film, with a competent cast and pleasant to watch.

Here we have the fictional story of a high school football team, in the state of Ohio, which receives a new coach and then gets excited to face the powerful rivals of the strong neighboring city.

D.B.Sweeney, the beautiful Maddie Hasson, William Mapother, Logan Huffman and Melora Waters make up the cast.

I think the nostalgia for football (it’s the offseason) helped me to like the movie.

Bet on UNDERDOGS. It’s a very nice afternoon session to watch.
