É um daqueles filmes impressionantes que fica melhor a cada (re) visão.
No final da Ditadura Franco, uma menina de 8 anos e suas duas irmãs vão viver na casa de uma tia.
Ana Torrent tem provavelmente o melhor trabalho de uma criança na história do cinema. Sua interpretação é recheada de olhares de uma expressividade raras vezes vista nas telas.
Geraldine Chaplin dá mais um show como Maria, uma personagem riquíssima, profundamente analisada pela câmera de Saura.
Carlos Saura, morto no início de 2023, fez 52 filmes como diretor. Deixou pelo menor uma dúzia de filmes memoráveis e definitivos, como BODAS DE SANGUE, CARMEN, MAMÃE FAZ CEM ANOS e ELISA MINHA VIDA.
CRIA CUERVOS é, na minha opinião, o melhor filme dele.
Ainda tenho gravadas na memória duas ou três cenas geniais do filme.

It’s one of those stunning films that gets better with each (re)view.

Ana Torrent has probably the best work by a child in the history of cinema. Her interpretation is filled with looks of an expressiveness rarely seen on screen.
Geraldine Chaplin gives another show as Maria, a very rich character, deeply analyzed by Saura’s camera.
Carlos Saura, who died in early 2023, made 52 films as a director. He left at least a dozen memorable and definitive films, such as BLOOD WEDDING, CARMEN, MAMA TURNS 100 and ELISA MY LIFE.
CRIA CUERVOS is, in my opinion, his best film.
I still have two or three brilliant scenes from the film engraved in my memory.
