A NETFLIX lançou ontem a segunda temporada da série THE LINCOLN LAWYER (aqui intitulada O PODER E A LEI), baseada nos livros de Michael Connelly com o personagem do advogado Mickey Haller.
Acho que eu já tinha me acostumado ao ator Manoel Garcia Rulfo, como protagonista. A ver o primeiro capítulo da nova temporada, voltei a estranhar. Acho ele com pouco carisma e sem charme para conduzir a história. Mas vamos ver se a familiaridade ajuda daqui para frente.
O melhor do elenco são suas ex-mulheres. Neve Campbell e Becki Newton dão à trama um frescor que falta no ator principal. Há uma recém chegada, a dona de restaurante Lisa Tramell (Lana Parrilla) que será uma das clientes novas do escritório.
Na minha opinião, Michael Connelly é o melhor dos escritores atuais de legal thrillers. Mas Bosch é seu carro chefe. Mickey nasceu em segundo lugar – o que pode ser ótimo – e segue em seu posto. Tem muito espaço para crescer. Nos livros acho que já melhorou muito.
Gostei muito do tema da vaidade do advogado. Incensado e cheio de clientes e dinheiro pela vitória no rumoroso caso da primeira temporada. Mickey não pára de dar entrevistas, sair em capas de revistas e jornais e passar o tempo todo mirando o celular. Alguém já viu isso acontecer?
O final do primeiro episódio trouxe à tona a trama principal. O misterioso assassino da prostituta do opus one, reaparece colocando o advogado em delicada situação. Assunto delicado.
Como a primeira, essa segunda temporada terá dez episódios.
Ainda há muito chão para Mickey Haller ganhar outro caso e, provavelmente uma terceira temporada.

I think I had already gotten used to the actor Manoel Garcia Rulfo, as the protagonist. Watching the first chapter of the new season, I found it strange again. I think he has little charisma and no charm to drive the story. But let’s see if familiarity helps going forward.

In my opinion, Michael Connelly is the best of today’s legal thriller writers. But Bosch is his flagship. Mickey was born in second place – which can be great – and continues in his post. He has a lot of room to grow. In the books, I think it has already improved a lot.
I really liked the theme of the vanity of the lawyer. Incensed and full of clients and money for winning the rumored case of the first season. Mickey never stops giving interviews, appearing on the covers of magazines and newspapers and spending all his time looking at his cell phone. Has anyone seen this happen?
