Dantés dá um jeito de fugir e volta para se vingar de seus algozes e principalmente do ex-amigo Morcef (Bastien Bouillon) que casou e teve filho com o amor da vida de Dantés, a bela Mercédes (Anaïs Demoustier).

I think the very rich production keeps the interest, even though the story has had more inspired versions. It doesn’t even seem like it lasts three hours.
