MENTE CRIMINOSA (2016), de Ariel Vromen é um filme bastante interessante.
O ponto de partida do roteiro mistura elementos de policial e um pouco de ficção cientifica quando relata a história de um espião que tem a missão de viabilizar a entrega de um sistema de rastreamento de armas nucleares americanas por um cientista desertor e, a partir de certo ponto vê suas memórias implantadas no cérebro de um criminoso psicopata.
A partir dai, a correria se estabelece entre sua agencia atrás do desertor, os espiões russos atrás do sistema e mercenários assassinos em busca da mercadoria mais do que valiosa.
Sem contar, claro o psicopata que passa a lembrar do bela esposa do agente, a sempre linda e ótima atriz Gal Gadot (a Mulher Maravilha de Batman vs Superman).
Esta trama complicada encenada por um elenco desafiador com Kevin Costner (cuja carreira tem muitos altos e baixos, sendo os altos excelentes como DANÇA COM LOBOS e os baixos muito ruins como WATERWOLRD ou O CARTEIRO), Ryan Reynolds, Gary Oldman, Tomy Lee Jones (sempre interessante), Michael Pitt e Alice Eve consegue prender o espectador na cadeira até o final.
O Diretor Vromen tem em seu currículo os interessantes DANIKA e ICEMAN, dois filmes bastante diferentes e criativos. MENTE CRIMINOSA não foge desta linha incomum com relação aos clichês de seu gênero.
São particularmente interessantes as cenas do criminosos com a família do espião, um misto de ternura e risco permanente de uma explosão de violência.
Kevin Costner consegue dar credibilidade ao difícil papel do psicopata acostumado a violência extrema e cotidiana, desconcertado pelas memorias do espião implantadas em seu cérebro.
Se MENTE CRIMINOSA não é um excelente filme (o que nem se pretende), consegue atingir seus objetivos de proporcionar quase duas horas de entretenimento puro.

The starting point of the script mixture police elements and a bit of science fiction when tells the story of a spy whose mission is to facilitate the delivery of a tracking system of US nuclear weapons by a renegade scientist, and from certain point see their memories implanted in the brain of a psychopath criminal.
From there on, the run is established among his agency following the deserter, the Russian spies behind the system and some murderous mercenaries in search for the valuable commodity.
Not to mention of course the psychopath who happens to remember the wife of the agent, the always beautiful and great actress Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman in Batman vs Superman).
This complicated plot staged by a challenging cast with Kevin Costner (whose career has many ups and downs, and the excellent high DANCING WITH THE WOLVES and very bad low as WATERWOLRD or THE POSTMAN), Ryan Reynolds, Gary Oldman, Tomy Lee Jones (always interesting), Michael Pitt and Alice Eve can hold the viewer in the chair until the end.
The Director Vromen has on his resume DANIKA and ICEMAN both interesting, very different and creative films. CRIMINAL does not escape this unusual line in relation to the clichés of its genre.
Particularly interesting are the scenes of the criminal with the members of the spy family, a mixture of tenderness and permanent risk of an explosion of violence.
Kevin Costner can give credibility to hard psychopath role accustomed to extreme and everyday violence, disconcerted by the spy memories implanted in his brain.
If CRIMINAL MIND is not a great film (which is not intended), and can achieve their goals of providing nearly two hours of pure entertainment.
