Cinco amigos dividirem um flat maravilhoso para esconder suas infidelidades das esposas parece história dos anos sessenta. Pois este argumento originou um thriller em 2014, intitulado PRAZERES MORTAIS (THE LOFT), dirigido por um cineasta belga Erik van Looy, que já tinha feito este filme em sua terra natal e foi convidado a refilmá-lo nos EUA.
Claro que na Terra do Tio Sam, tanto o Loft, quanto os amigos e amigas foram repaginados.

Como as frequentadoras do Loft, Isabel Lucas (TRANSFORMERS) e Rachael Taylor (JESSICA JONES) não deixam o nível cair.
Como em todo thriller, aparece um cadáver, e uma policial para investigar: Kristin Lehman, da serie de televisão O MOTIVO.
Todo este elenco, uma historia interessante, produção impecável, o filme nãão funciona. Por que?
Para um filme policial, o espectador adivinhar o que vai acontecer, antes do acontecido, é um erro fatal. Em PRAZERES MORTAIS, isto acontece quatro ou cinco vezes, induzido por “dicas” óbvias do roteiro.
Desperdiçaram muitos recursos, atores, atrizes e o filme não saiu do chão.

This outstanding cast, an interesting story, impeccable production, but the film does not work. Why?
For a thriller, the viewer guessing what will happen before the event, is a fatal error. In THE LOFT, this happens four or five times, induced by obvious “tips” from the naive script.
They wasted a lot of resources, actors, actresses and the film did not leave the ground.
