I finally got access to the episodes of THE GOOD FIGHT, the spin off of THE GOOD WIFE, which aired on American CBS.
Diane Lockhart (the great Christine Baranski), one of the protagonists suffers a financial debacle and has to continue to advocate, now without the pomp and circumstance that had in the firm that she founded.
Beside her there was a talented attorney Lucca Quinn, made by actress Cush Jumbo (also seen in THE GOOD WIFE) and Rosie Leslie (the Scottish actress from GAME OF THRONES), as the rookie Maia Rindell, one of the pivots of the scandal that shakes all the characters.
Still in the cast, strong names like Delroy Lindo, Paul Guilfoyle (CSI), Bernardette Peters, Christine Lahti and Matthew Perry.
The production follows the flawless path of THE GOOD WIFE and the stories are seeming more interesting (much Trump, terrorism, quotas and financial scams) than the old song about Alicia. I think the fact that it’s a VOD series gave writers more freedom.
It looks like it will work out, so much so that CBS has already asked for the second season.
