ENTRE FACAS E SEGREDOS (KNIVES OUT), de Rian Johnson (o cineasta americano responsável pelo filme OS ÚLTIMOS JEDI (crucificado pelos fãs mais radicais da franquia STAR WARS) é uma divertida sátira aos filmes policiais, trazendo muitos dos seus clichês de forma inteligente e criativa.
O milionário escritor de romances policiais Harlan Thrombey (o ótimo Christopher Plummer) aparece morto na manhã seguinte à festa de seus 85 anos. Todos da família são suspeitos porque haviam brigado com o patriarca por razões diversas no dia da morte.
O elenco de FACAS E SEGREDOS é simplesmente espetacular: Daniel Craig (divertidíssimo como o Detetive Particular Benoit Blanc, uma espécie de Hercule Poirot que nada vê), Chris Evans (ótimo com Ransom), Ana de armas (linda como a enfermeira Marta Cabrera), Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette e Frank Oz.
O roteiro do filme, escrito pelo próprio Johnson é muito inteligente e repleto de piadas sensacionais. Os fãs de filmes policiais não somente vão reconhecer personagens, falas e situações, como vão dar risadas a granel.
É muito difícil fazer um ótimo enredo policial: as histórias são complexas e cheias de aspectos a serem “amarrados” na solução final do caso. Raramente isto acontece.
Aqui, a solução do caso tem uma das melhores piadas do filme, envolvendo o nome do vilão ou vilã. Maravilhosa.
FACAS E SEGREDOS é puro entretenimento. Mas dá muito prazer ao espectador, especialmente pelos seus ótimos atores, seu roteiro altamente inteligente e pelas tiradas em cima dos filmes e livros policiais.

The billionaire writer of detective books Harlan Thrombey (the great Christopher Plummer) is dead in the morning next to his 85th birthday party. All members of his family are suspects because everyone had fight with him in the fatal day.
The cast of KNIVES OUT is outstanding: Daniel Craig (very funny as Detective Benoit Blanc, a parody of Hercule Poirot without his intelligence), Chris Evans (Ransom), Ana de Armas (beautiful as the nurse linda Marta Cabrera), Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette e Frank Oz.
The screenplay written by Johnson himself is very clever e full of great jokes and gags. The fans of detective movies will recognize not only characters, quotes and scenes, as will laugh a lot.
It is very hard to make a good detective story: there are to many issues to wrap up at the end, which few people get in full. Here the final solution has one of the best jokes of the movie.
KNIVES OUT is pure entertainment. But it gives a lot of pleasure to his spectator thanks to his wonderful cast, great jokes and clever screenplay.
