Vi ontem o primeiro episódio de uma nova série da HBO, intitulada O TERCEIRO DIA.
Um homem salva um menina que estava por se suicidar em meio a um bosque. Resolve levá-la para casa, localizada em uma pequena ilha na costa da Inglaterra, chamada Osea. Chegando lá, se depara com uma situação em que não se consegue sair do local e todas as pessoas parecem estar escondendo um segredo terrível. Paralelamente, há a mesma história de uma mulher que em outro tempo, passa pela mesma situação.
Serão seis episódios. Ainda não sei se a série vai ser boa ou não. Mas algumas coisas já foram possíveis de avaliar.
O elenco é acima da média. Jude Law (sempre um ótimo ator), Naomi Harris (a Monneypenny do novo 007), Emily Watson (grande atriz inglesa), Paddy Considine (outro ótimo intérprete) e Katherine Waterston (filha do excepcional ator oscarizado Sam Waterston).
A fotografia da costa britânica é deslumbrante. A pequena estradinha que dá acesso à ilha (e que fica submersa na maré alta), por exemplo, é uma imagem incrível. O que dizer, então das cenas na floresta verde e úmida? Deslumbrante.
Por enquanto há muitos mistérios e poucas descobertas em O TERCEIRO DIA.
Mas conhecendo a HBO, acho que vale a aposta.
I saw yesterday the first episode of a new HBO series, entitled THE THIRD DAY.
A man saves a girl who was about to commit suicide in the middle of a forest. He decides to take her home, located on a small island off the coast of England, called Osea. Once there, he is faced with a situation in which he cannot leave the place and everyone seems to be hiding a terrible secret. At the same time, there is the same story of a woman who in another time, goes through the same situation.
There will be six episodes. I still don’t know if the series is going to be good or not. But some things have already been possible to evaluate.
The cast is above average. Jude Law (always a great actor), Naomi Harris (the new 007 Monneypenny), Emily Watson (great English actress), Paddy Considine (another great performer) and Katherine Waterston (daughter of exceptional oscar actor Sam Waterston).
The photography of the British coast is stunning. The small road that gives access to the island (and that is submerged at high tide), for example, is an incredible image. What, then, about the scenes in the green and humid forest? Stunning.
For now there are many mysteries and few discoveries in THE THIRD DAY.
But knowing HBO, I think the bet is worth it.
