Zachary Smith é encarregado de sabotar a missão e consegue reprogramar o robô enviado na neve para criar um fracasso da missão. O resultado desastroso é que a nave fica perdida no espaço enfrentando monstros, vilões, desastres naturais e muitos outro perigos, com o responsável preso com a Família Robinson.
Depois de PERDIDOS NO ESPAÇO, Jonathan Harris frequentou praticamente todas as séries de sucesso, aparecendo em TERRA DE GIGANTES, AGENTE 86, MCMILLAN AND WIFE, A FEITICEIRA e LANCER.
