Há poucas novidades em 007 CONTRA OCTOPUSSY, filme que o cineasta John Glen fez em 1983. Roger Moore viveu o Agente James Bond pela sexta vez na história de um complô que envolve o assassinato de um agente 00 na Alemanha Oriental, um exército de mulheres, ovos Fabergé falsificados e um atentado nuclear contra as forças da OTAN perpetrado por um vilão megalomaníaco em aliança com russos dissidentes.
Além de Roger Moore, o filme tem dois nomes conhecidos do cinema: a atriz sueca Maud Adams (uma das raríssimas repetições de atriz na franquia com papeis diferentes, já que foi a namorada de Scaramanga em 007 CONTRA O HOMEM DA PISTOLA DE OURO) e o ator francês Louis Jourdan ( uma figurinha carimbada das telas nos anos 60, em filmes como GIGI). Louis Maxwell como Moneypenny e Desmond Llewelyn como Q batem ponto.
Todo mundo parece estar um pouco cansado nesta aventura que bebe nos ícones da franquia 007, repetindo cenas praticamente de forma literal, como a final do tenso desarmamento de uma bomba nuclear, cujo contador de segundos é mostrado em close, algo que já fora utilizado como recurso de suspense 20 anos antes em 007 CONTRA GOLDFINGER.
Roger Moore já dava claras pistas que sua carreira como 007 estava próxima do fim. Boa parte das cenas claramente eram feitas por doublês, algo que de alguma forma se chocava com a imagem de um 007 aventureiro.
Na minha opinião, sem ser ruim, 007 CONTRA OCTOPUSSY, está entre os filmes sem sal da franquia 007. Nem de perto se insere no primeiro nível.

Roger Moore played Agent James Bond for the sixth time in the story of a plot involving the murder of Agent 00 in East Germany, an army of women, counterfeit Fabergé eggs and a nuclear attack on NATO forces by a megalomaniac villain in alliance with dissident Russians.
In addition to Roger Moore, the film has two well-known names in cinema: Swedish actress Maud Adams (one of the very rare repetitions of actress in the franchise with different roles, since she was Scaramanga’s girlfriend in 007 THE MAN WITH THE GOLDEN GUN) and the French actor Louis Jourdan (a very well known actor from the screens in the 60s, in films like GIGI). Louis Maxwell as Moneypenny and Desmond Llewelyn as Q hit the spot.
Everyone seems to be a little tired in this adventure that drinks in the icons of the 007 franchise, repeating scenes practically literally, like the end of the tense disarmament of a nuclear bomb, whose seconds counter is shown in close up, something that already it had been used as a suspense resource 20 years earlier in 007 GOLDFINGER.
Roger Moore already gave clear clues that his career as 007 was nearing its end. A good part of the scenes were clearly done by doublées, something that somehow clashed with the image of an adventurous 007.
In my opinion, without being bad, OCTOPUSSY, is among the unsalted films in the 007 franchise. Not even close to the first level.
