Igualmente ;e impossível não perceber que THE DIRTY DOZEN foi uma clara inspiração de Quentin Tarantino para seu ótimo BASTARDOS INGLÓRIOS. Aliás, a história de condenados que formam um grupo militar para missões suicidas gerou vários filmes depois do extraordinário sucesso de OS DOZE CONDENADOS.
Aldrich foi muito feliz na direção do filme. Na realidade, as 2h30min contém três filmes. A escolha do grupo e seu treinamento; a prova ao comando que o grupo era diferenciado; e a missão contra os nazistas propriamente dita.
THE DIRTY DOZEN tem de tudo. Há cenas dramáticas, aventura, cenas cômicas muito boas, diálogos irônicos sobre o exército e a guerra, suspense, todos os elementos dos ótimos filmes de guerra.
É outro grande filme que segue intacto e atrativo, mais de 50 anos depois de feito.

Aldrich was very happy to direct the film. In fact, in its two hours and thirty minutes, there are three films. The choice of the group and its training; proof to the command that the group was different; and the mission against the Nazis itself.
THE DIRTY DOZEN has it all. There are dramatic scenes, adventure, very good comedic scenes, ironic dialogues about the army and war, suspense, all elements of great war movies.
It is another great film that remains intact and attractive, more than 50 years after being made.
