Como o streaming está dando acesso a milhares de títulos das mais diversas nacionalidades, a gente passou a poder ver muita coisa boa. Mas também tem muita coisa ruim.

O diretor é um jovem chileno chamado koko Stambuk. Era uma mau sinal.
Um rico empresário – que mora com sua esposa numa mansão nos arredores da Cidade do México – descobre que sua esposa está tendo um affair com seu melhor amigo. Com as fotos do encontro em mãos, encomenda ao advogado um contrato em que ela, por uma soma de dinheiro apreciável, se retira da empresa e se divorcia dele.
O toque de genialidade (ao menos eles devem achar) é a tal cláusula oitava do contrato que a obriga a transar com o amante na frente do marido. Pode haver ideia pior que esta? Pode. Em meio à confrontação do três, um casal de assaltantes chega à casa com o propósito de roubar os milionários divorciandos.
A estrela mexicana Maite Perroni produz e protagoniza o filme, como a infiel Cat. Óscar Raenada é o marido traído. Manuel Vega é o amigo traidor.Paulina D’Ávila e Michel Duval são os assaltantes. O ator chileno Christian Meyer é o constrangido advogado. Difícil dizer quem atua pior.
Tem muito filme ruim por aí.

Amazon Prime Video is showing the Mexican police drama THE DEAL (LA OCTAVA CLAUSE). As a lawyer it caught my attention.
The director is a young Chilean named Koko Stambuk. It was a bad sign.
A wealthy businessman – who lives with his wife in a mansion on the outskirts of Mexico City – discovers that his wife is having an affair with his best friend. With the photos of the meeting in hand, he orders the lawyer for a contract in which she, for an appreciable sum of money, withdraws from the company and divorces him.
The touch of genius (at least they must think) is the eighth clause of the contract that obliges her to have sex with her lover in front of her husband. Can there be a worse idea than this? It can. In the midst of the three’s confrontation, a couple of burglars arrive at the house with the purpose of robbing the divorcing millionaires.
Mexican star Maite Perroni produces and stars in the film, as the unfaithful Cat. Óscar Raenada is the betrayed husband. Manuel Vega is the traitor friend. Paulina D’Ávila and Michel Duval are the robbers. Chilean actor Christian Meyer is the embarrassed lawyer. Hard to say who acts worse.
For sure, there are a lot of bad movies out there.
