ATRAPA A UN LADRÓN – Série Hispano-Argentina se Baseia em Clássico Hitchcockiano

O Paramount+ está exibindo a série (10 capítulos) ATRAPA A UN LADRÓN (TO CATCH A THIEF), uma produção hispano-argentina baseada no clássico filme LADRÃO DE CASACA, de Sir Alfred Hitchcock.

Se o cult do mestre já tinha uma batida lúdica, a série é praticamente uma comédia. Um ladrão de arte aposentado foi morar em Barcelona e se casa com a principal Detetive da Polícia local.

No dia do casamento deles, há um roubo de quadros em uma galeria de Buenos Aires e o tio (doente com Alzheimer) do mocinho é preso, acusado do roubo.

Como contar à esposa policial que ela é uma ladrão aposentado, a fim de viajar para ajudar o tio, descobrindo o verdadeiro culpado?

A produção é da mesma equipe que fez O MINISTÉRIO DO TEMPO, outra produção com um senso de humor bem peculiar.

Pablo Echarri faz o papel de “o Gato”. Alexandra Jimenez é a Detetive Lola Garay.

A série bebe da inspiração do filme de Hitchcock, recriando mesmo cenas clássicas como o piquenique (com direito à cestinha e tudo) nas estradas sinuosas do Principado. Até a famosa frase “Coxa ou peito?”, pela qual Grace Kelly perguntava a Cary Grant qual sua parte preferida do frango, diz presente.

Por enquanto vi apenas um capítulo.

Mas já me diverti bastante.

If the cult of the master already had a playful beat, the series is practically a comedy. A retired art thief moves to Barcelona and marries the top detective of the local Police.

On their wedding day, there is a theft of paintings in a gallery in Buenos Aires and his uncle (sick with Alzheimer’s) is arrested, accused of the theft.

How to tell the cop wife that he is a retired thief, in order to travel to help her uncle, finding the real culprit?

The production is from the same team that made THE MINISTRY OF TIME, another Spanish production with a very peculiar sense of humor.

Pablo Echarri plays “the Cat”. Alexandra Jimenez is Detective Lola Garay.

The series takes inspiration from Hitchcock’s film, recreating even classic scenes such as the picnic (with basket and all) on the winding roads of Monaco. Even the famous phrase “Thigh or breast?”, by which Grace Kelly asked Cary Grant what his favorite part of chicken is present here.

So far I’ve only watched one chapter.

But I’ve had enough fun
