Desde o início da ótima série SHINING GIRLS, estava claro que o mistério por trás do serial killer Harper (Jamie Bell, ótimo) tinha elementos fantásticos. As alterações da realidade da protagonista Kirby (Elisabeth Moss, cada vez melhor) também indicavam isto.
Mas confesso que ao assistir o oitavo e último episódio, achei a solução da Casa/Portal meio ousada demais. Está certo que proporcionou ótimos momentos, mas na minha opinião, os roteiristas viajaram demais na imaginação.
A história que iniciou como uma excelente trama sobre a violência contra as mulheres e a obsessão de Kirby por justiça, virou um Túnel do Tempo com grife.
O final, embora criativo e instigante, ficou além do que o excelente início da série prometia.
From the start of the great SHINING GIRLS series, it was clear that the mystery behind serial killer Harper (Jamie Bell, great) had fantastical elements. The changing reality of protagonist Kirby (Elisabeth Moss, getting better in each new role) also indicated this.
But I confess that when I watched the eighth and final episode, I found the Portal solution a bit too bold. It’s true that it provided some great moments, but in my opinion, the writers went too far in their imagination.
The story that started as an excellent plot about violence against women and Kirby’s obsession with justice, has turned into a sophisticated Time Tunnel.
The ending, while creative and thought-provoking, was beyond what the excellent start to the series promised.
