O filme OLHAR INVISÍVEL, do cineasta e produtor argentino Diego Lerman está disponível na NETFLIX. Trata-se de mais um filme argentino a refletir sobre os efeitos nocivos da ditadura militar havida no país vizinho.
O filme se baseia no romance de Martin Kohan, intitulado brilhantemente de CIÊNCIAS MORALES.
A história se passa em 1982, em plena Guerra das Malvinas, quando o orgulho nacional foi despertado pelos membros da Junta Militar. Em um colégio do centro de Buenos Aires, uma jovem professora, Maria Teresa Cornejo (Julieta Zylberberg) é convocada por seu superior para vigiar os alunos, flagrando sementes subversivas.
Ambiciosa e carente, ela toma a missão à risca e passa a vigiar os seus alunos como o que chamou de “olhar invisível”, uma campana permanente e ininterrupta. Isto, inclusive a leva, a se esconder no sanitário masculino supostamente para ver se os alunos fumavam escondidos.
O filme de Lerman é muito seco. Não há concessões. A história dramática é narrada linearmente, sem um momento que seja de quebra, de humor, de qualquer forma de lirismo.
A Argentina era um país doente. E isto impactava na educação, nas atitudes e nos comportamentos dos professores e dos diretores.
A parte final do filme é memorável. Filmada quase em tom documental, mostra sem filtros a doença da ditadura e da falta de liberdade.
Um filme a ser visto e refletido.
The film THE INVISIBLE EYE (LA MIRADA INVISIBLE), by Argentine filmmaker and producer Diego Lerman is available on NETFLIX. It is yet another Argentine film reflecting on the harmful effects of the military dictatorship in the neighboring country.
The film is based on the novel by Martin Kohan, brilliantly titled SCIENCES MORALES.
The story takes place in 1982, in the middle of the Falklands War, when national pride was awakened by the members of the Military Junta. In a school in downtown Buenos Aires, a young teacher, Maria Teresa Cornejo (Julieta Zylberberg) is summoned by her superior to watch the students, catching subversive seeds.
Ambitious and needy, she takes the mission to the letter and starts to watch over her students with what she called an “invisible eye”, a permanent and uninterrupted vigilance. This even leads her to hide in the men’s room, supposedly to see if the students were secretly smoking.
Lerman’s film is very hard. There are no concessions. The dramatic story is narrated linearly, without a moment of breaking, of humor, of any form of lyricism.
Argentina was a sick country. And this had an impact on education, attitudes and behaviors of teachers and principals.
The final part of the film is memorable. Filmed almost in a documentary tone, it shows without filters the disease of dictatorship and lack of freedom.
A film to be seen and reflected upon.
