O 79o. Festival de Veneza 2002 está divulgando a lista de filmes que estarão nas telas entre 31 de agosto e 10 de setembro deste ano.
Duas grandes personalidades do cinema receberão homenagens em Veneza 2022, ganhando um Leão de Ouro Honorário: Paul Schrader e Catherine Deneuve. Schrader, 76 anos, roteirista de TAXI DRIVER e TOURO INDOMÁVEL dirigiu alguns filmes notáveis, como A MARCA DA PANTERA, GIGOLÔ AMERICANO e MISHIMA, além do recente THE CARD COUNTER. Deneuve, a grande dama do cinema francês, 79 anos, é a eterna Severine, de A BELA DA TARDE. Mas fez outras obras memoráveis, como O ÚLTIMO METRÔ, A SEREIA DO MISSISSIPI, REPULSION e TRISTANA.

BONES AND ALL, de Luca Guadagnino. Timothée Chalamet e Taylor Russell são dois jovens que fazem uma jornada de mil milhas pelo interior americano na época de Ronald Reagan. O filme se baseia no livro homônimo de Camille DeAngelis.
BARDO, FALSE CHRONICLE OF A HANDFUL OF TRUTHS, de Alejandro González Iñárritu. O primeiro filme de Iñ;arritu depois de THE REVENANT, tem trama passada na cidade do México e é definido como uma comédia nostálgica sobre um documentarista em crise existencial que retorna à casa. Daniel Giménez Cacho protagoniza.
WHITE NOISE, de Noah Baumbach. O livro premiado de Don DeLillo, de 1985 chega às telas mostrando um ano na vida de um professor no meio Oeste. No elenco, Adam Driver, Greta Gerwig, Jodie Turner-Smith, Don Cheadle. Alessandro Nivola e Raffey Cassidy.
THE SON, de Florian Zeller. Uma espécie de sequência de THE FATHER, o filme igualmente é adaptado de uma peça teatral de Zeller. Hugh Jackman, Laura Dern e Vanessa Kirby se juntam a Anthony Hopkins neste drama familiar moderno.
BLONDE, de Andrew Dominik. O diretor neo-zelandês traz a cubana Ana de Armas no que se diz “uma crônica ficcional da vida íntima de MM”. Baseado no livro de Joyce Carol Oates, BLONDE tem Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody e Caspar Phillipson no elenco.
SHE SAID, de Maria Schrader a cineasta alemã de I’M YOUR MAN. Carey Mulligan e Zoe Kazan vivem as jornalistas do THE NEW YORK TIMES Megan Twohey e Jodi Kantor que fizeram uma série de matérias investigativas (Prêmio Pulitzer) sobre violência contra as mulheres em Hollywood, o que detonou o escândalo Harvey Weinstein.
DON’T WORRY DARLING, de Olivia Wilde. Florence Pugh e Harry Styles protagonizam a história de um casal que se depara com segredos inquietantes na comunidade onde vivem. aparecem ainda a própria diretora Wilde, Gemma Chan e Chris Pine.
Vai ter muito mais, mas estes já dão água na boca de qualquer cinéfilo.

The 79th. Venice Film Festival 2002 is releasing the list of films that will be on screen between August 31 and September 10 this year.
Two great film personalities will receive honors at Venice 2022, earning an Honorary Golden Lion: Paul Schrader and Catherine Deneuve. Schrader, 76, screenwriter of TAXI DRIVER and RAGING BULL, has directed some notable films such as CAT PEOPLE, AMERICAN GIGOLO and MISHIMA, in addition to the recent THE CARD COUNTER. Deneuve, the 79-year-old grande dame of French cinema, is the eternal Severine, from LA BELLE DE JOUR. But she did other memorable works, such as THE LAST SUBWAY, THE MERMAID OF THE MISSISSIPPI, REPULSION and TRISTANA.

Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan play THE NEW YORK TIMES journalists Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor who did a series of investigative stories (Pulitzer Prize) on violence against women in Hollywood, which detonated the Harvey Weinstein scandal.
DON’T WORRY DARLING, by Olivia Wilde. Florence Pugh and Harry Styles star in the story of a couple who are faced with disturbing secrets in the community where they live. director Wilde, Gemma Chan and Chris Pine also appear.
