Supostamente o Produtor Jerry Bruckheimer sonha em fazer um opus três para a franquia.
Pois esta semana foi anunciado na COMIC CON que o Disney+ vai lançar em data a ser anunciada uma série nova intitulada NATIONAL TREASURE: EDGE OF HISTORY, retomando alguns personagens dos filmes.
A estrela maior do show não será Nicholas Cage (que anda em baixa) e sim a atriz americana Lisette Olivera (TOTAL ECLIPSE) no papel de Jess Morales, uma caçadora de tesouros que quer resgatar o nome de sua família.
O elenco da série terá Catherine Zeta-Jones e Harvey Keitel, dois peso pesados, respectivamente no papel da milionária Billie e do agente do FBI Peter Sadusky. Com eles também reaparece o divertido sidekick de Cage nos filmes, o atrapalhado Riley Poole ( Justin Bartha).
Ainda vão aparecer na série Zuri Reed (Flatbush Misdemeanors), Antonio Cipriano (Broadway’s Jagged Little Pill) ,Jordan Rodrigues (The Fosters), Jake Austin Walker (DC’s Stargirl) e Lyndon Smith (Parenthood).
A legendária cineasta indiana Mira Nair aparece nos créditos como co-produtora e diretora de pelo menos um capítulo da nova série, uma surpreendente garantia de qualidade.
Eu gostei muito dos dois filmes. Eram bem divertidos, bem feitos e mesclavam história e ficção de um modo criativo demais.
Vou ver certo a série.

The pace given to the plots by Jon Turteltaub and the great cast ensured the success of NATIONAL TREASURE and NATIONAL TREASURE: BOOK OF SECRETS. This week it was announced at COMIC CON that Disney+ will launch a new series titled NATIONAL TREASURE: EDGE OF HISTORY on a date to be announced, resuming some characters from the films.
The biggest star of the show will not be Nicholas Cage (who is on the downswing) but American actress Lisette Olivera (TOTAL ECLIPSE) in the role of Jess Morales, a treasure hunter who wants to rescue her family name.
The cast of the series will have Catherine Zeta-Jones and Harvey Keitel, two heavyweights, respectively in the role of millionaire Billie and FBI agent Peter Sadusky. With them also reappears the fun sidekick of Cage in the films, the clumsy Riley Poole (Justin Bartha).

I really liked both movies. They were very fun, well made and mixed history and fiction in a very creative way.
For sure, I’m going to watch the series.
