O Spirit Awards (o Oscar do Cinema Independente) anunciou que já em sua próxima edição – a ser entregue em 04 de março de 2023 – as categorias de interpretação não mais referirão o gênero dos intérpretes, unificando os indicados e premiados homens e mulheres.
Em vez de Melhor Ator e Melhor Atriz, teremos dez pessoas disputando a categoria de Melhor Intérprete Principal. Em vez de Melhor ator ou Atriz Coadjuvante, haverá Melhor Intérprete em um Papel Coadjuvante e assim por diante.
Acho que esta tendência será incorporada pelo Oscar muito em breve.
The Spirit Awards (the Oscars of Independent Cinema) announced that already in its next edition – to be delivered on March 4, 2023- the acting categories will no longer refer to the gender of the performers, unifying the nominees and award-winning men and women.
Instead of Best Actor and Best Actress, we will have ten people vying for Best Leading Performer. Instead of Best Supporting Actor or Actress, there will be Best Performer in a Supporting Role, and so on.
I think this trend will be incorporated by the Oscars very soon.
