O NOW está exibindo o filme francês ESTÁ TUDO BEM (TOUT S’EST BIEN PASSÉ – EVERYTHING WENT FINE), que o cineasta François Ozon (YOUNG AND BEAUTIFUL e IN THE HOUSE) apresentou no Festival de Cannes de 2021, com grande e merecido impacto.
O tema do filme é extremamente doloroso: o suicídio assistido.
André, um colecionador de arte de 85 anos sofre um derrame e fica com o lado direito do corpo totalmente paralisado. Suas duas filhas, Emmanuèle (um Sophie Marceau luminosa e esbanjando talento em uma beleza madura e fascinante) e Pascale (Geraldine Pailhas) correm para dar apoio ao pai doente na odisséia que sua vida vai virar.

O filme é baseado no livro escrito pela filha Emmanuèle. Não apenas por isso, a personagem de Sophie Marceau (o melhor trabalho dela na profícua carreira de 49 filmes) é o fio condutor da narrativa. O drama de André e suas filhas foi real, o que torna o filme ainda mais impactante.
Ozon é um dos melhores realizadores franceses da atualidade. Sua câmera, por vezes assume um caráter de documentário, mostrando em detalhes a dificuldade de dar um banho em André ou entrar com a cadeira de rodas nos pequenos elevadores. nada é poupado ao espectador.
Por todos os elementos, EVERYTHING WENT FINE é um filme difícil de ser visto. Até por isso, Ozon coloca alguns poucos momentos de quebra de narrativa, quase instantes de humor e lirismo, como o último jantar no restaurante favorito de André.

The film is based on the book written by her daughter Emmanuèle. Not only for that, the character of Sophie Marceau (the best work in her prolific career of 49 films) is the main thread of the narrative. The drama of André and his daughters was real, which makes the film even more impactful.
Ozon is one of the best French filmmakers today. His camera sometimes takes on a documentary character, showing in detail the difficulty of giving André a bath or getting into the small elevators with a wheelchair. nothing is spared to the spectator.
By all elements, EVERYTHING WENT FINE is a tough movie to watch. Even so, Ozon includes a few moments of narrative break, almost moments of humor and lyricism, such as the last dinner at André’s favorite restaurant.
