Ontem o Telecine Cult mostrou SANSÃO E DALILA, filme dirigido por Cecil B. deMille, em 1949.
Revi uma boa parte do filme.
A história conta o relacionamento do extraordinariamente forte Sansão (Victor Mature) que é traído pela bela Filistina Dalila (Hedy Lamar belíssima) ao trocá-la pela jovem Semadar (Angela Lansbury). O elenco ainda tem George Sanders e Russ Tamblyn.
O filme tem muita coisa que vista nos dias atuais parece meio improvisada mas pensando com os recursos dos anos 40 chega a impressionar.
A força de Sansão estava nos cabelos. Muito antes dos shampoos modernos. É um filme bem divertido.

Yesterday, Telecine Cult showed SAMSON AND DELILAH, a film directed by Cecil B. deMille, in 1949.
I saw again a good part of the movie.
The story tells the relationship of the extraordinarily strong Samson (Victor Mature) who is betrayed by the beautiful Philistine Delilah (Hedy Lamarr beautiful) when he leaves her for the young Semadar (Angela Lansbury). The cast also includes George Sanders and Russ Tamblyn.
The film has a lot of things seen nowadays that seem kind of improvised, but thinking with the resources of the 40s, it’s impressive.
Samson’s strength was in his hair. Long before modern shampoos. It’s a really fun movie.
