ALASKA DAILY: Hilary Swank Volta às Telas como Jornalista em Busca de uma Segunda Chance

A Rede de TV ABC estréia no dia 6 de outubro (vai estar no HULU) a série ALASKA DAILY.

Há pelo menos três coisas que recomendam esta nova série.

A primeira é sua protagonista, a excelente Hilary Swank, dois Oscars de Melhor Atriz (BOY’S DON’T CRY e MILLION DOLLAR BABY), que volta à telinha depois de certa ausência. O último filme que eu tinha visto dela era FATALE, um thriller bem ruinzinho em que ela fazia uma policial doidinha tipo ATRAÇÃO FATAL.

O segundo elemento é que o responsável pelo show é Tom McCarthy, roteirista e diretor do ótimo SPOTLIGHT, filme ganhador do Oscar.

O terceiro são as locações em Anchorage, Alaska, um local belíssimo de deixar o espectador de boa aberta já pelas imagens do trailer de ALASKA DAILY.

A jornalista nova iorquina Eileen Fitzgerald cai em desgraça entre seus pares e resolve iniciar de novo em um pequeno jornal do Alaska. Chegando lá se depara com vários desaparecimentos de mulheres sem solução ante a inércia da polícia e dos políticos locais. É a segunda chance que ela esperava.

Vou ver certo.

The ABC TV Network premieres on October 6th (will be on HULU) the series ALASKA DAILY.

There are at least three things that recommend this new series.

The first is its protagonist, the excellent Hilary Swank, two Oscars for Best Actress (BOY’S DON’T CRY and MILLION DOLLAR BABY), who returns to the small screen after some absence. The last movie I’d seen of her was FATALE, a really bad thriller in which she played a crazy cop like FATAL ATTRACTION.

The second element is that the person responsible for the show is Tom McCarthy, writer and director of the great Oscar-winning film SPOTLIGHT.

The third is the locations in Anchorage, Alaska, a beautiful place to leave the viewer wide open already by the images of the trailer for ALASKA DAILY.

New York journalist Eileen Fitzgerald falls out with her peers and decides to start anew at a small Alaskan newspaper. Arriving there, she is faced with several disappearances of women without solution due to the inaction of the police and local politicians. It’s the second chance she’s been waiting for.

I’ll see for sure.
