Neste 25 de setembro, faz 30 anos que foi lançado nos Estados Unidos o filme O ÚLTIMO DOS MOICANOS, que Michael Mann fez a partir do livro de James Fenimore Cooper.
É um filme de aventura exemplar.
Tem uma história empolgante (a tentativa de salvar algumas mulheres raptadas por índios no oeste mais selvagem), um visual deslumbrante (a fotografia de Dante Spinotti explora magistralmente a beleza dos grande ambientes naturais onde se passa o filme), um elenco afinadíssimo (Daniel Day Lewis e Madeleine Stowe têm um romance maravilhoso) e uma montagem de tirar o espectador da poltrona.
O filme tem de tudo: aventura, romance, drama, história, tudo muito bem mesclado.

It is an exemplary adventure film.
It has an exciting story (the attempt to save some women kidnapped by Indians in the wildest west), a stunning visual (Dante Spinotti‘s photography masterfully explores the beauty of the great natural environments where the film takes place), a very fine cast (Daniel Day Lewis and Madeleine Stowe have a wonderful romance) and a montage to take the viewer out of the chair.
The film has it all: adventure, romance, drama, history, all very well blended.
THE LAST OF THE MOHICANS is a spectacular film.
