Vi ontem o documentário original da Amazon Prime Video, intitulado THE SOUND OF 007, dirigido Mat Whitecross, em comemoração aos 60 anos do lançamento de DR. NO, o primeiro filme com o agente secreto James Bond.
Já escrevi aqui que vi e revi todos os filmes da franquia 007 diversas vezes. Tenho meus favoritos (GOLDFINGER, SKYFALL e LIVE AND LET DIE) e aqueles que acho mais fraquinhos (A SERVIÇO DE SUA MAJESTADE, O FOGUETE DA MORTE e NA MIRA DOS ASSASSINOS).
O documentário nos faz viajar pelas músicas dos filmes, um dos tantos elementos identificadores dos filmes de 007.
Desfilam pela tela os produtores Albert Broccoli e Harry Saltzman e seus sucessores Barbara Broccoli e Michael G. Wilson, contando as histórias de cada canção que ilustrou os filmes, a começar pelo eterno tema de James Bond, criado por Monty Norman, apresentado com a música mais conhecida do cinema.
Paul McCartney, Carly Simon, John Barry, Billie Eilish, Adele, Shirley Bassey, Nancy Sinatra, Hans Zimmer, Tom Jones, Tina Turner, Madonna, Sheena Easton, Marvin Hamlisch, Tim Rice, Duran Duran, Louis Armstrong e muitos outros astros da música aparecem como sua arte colaborou para o sucesso dos filmes de 007. O material de arquivo exibido é primoroso.

Yesterday I saw the original Amazon Prime Video documentary entitled THE SOUND OF 007, directed by Mat Whitecross, in celebration of the 60th anniversary of the release of DR. NO, the first film with secret agent James Bond.
I’ve already written here that I’ve seen and reviewed all the 007 franchise movies several times. I have my favorites (GOLDFINGER, SKYFALL and LIVE AND LET DIE) and the ones I find the weakest (ON HER MAJESTY SECRET SERVICE, MOONRAKER and A VIEW TO A KILL).
The documentary makes us travel through the music of the films, one of the many identifying elements of the 007 films.
Producers Albert Broccoli and Harry Saltzman and their successors Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson parade across the screen, telling the stories of each song that illustrated the films, starting with the eternal James Bond theme, created by Monty Norman, presented as the music most famous in cinema.
