O filme ARGENTINA, 1985, de Santiago Mitre estreou no Amazon Prime Vídeo cumprindo tudo o que prometia. É um dos melhores filmes do ano, fácil.
O filme narra a ocorrência do histórico julgamento civil dos líderes militares da ditadura argentina. É baseado em uma história real. E que história.
Ricardo Darin vive o Promotor Julio Cesar Strassera que levou a cabo a tarefa de investigar e acusar os comandantes do exército, marinha e aeronáutica pelos crimes contra a humanidade cometidos em nome da segurança nacional, nos anos de chumbo.
Como sempre, Darin entrega uma interpretação maravilhosa, emocionante e cheia de nuances, algo que somente um ator com o enorme talento dramático que ele tem é capaz.
O filme é riquíssimo. Há muita coisa a ser notada e discutida.
Por exemplo, gostei muito da forma como os jovens auxiliares do experiente Strassera se encaixaram e tiveram papel fundamental no resultado. Trabalho em equipe na melhor acepção da palavra. Grandes méritos do chefe em liderar a gurizada aproveitando o gás com que eles se dispuseram a enfrentar a gigantesca tarefa de modo notável. Nesse sentido é particularmente brilhante a cena em que Darin diz ao seu Promotor Assistente Luís Moreno Ocampo (Peter Lanzani) que o pessoal da TV não conseguiu com a maquiagem tirar seu brilho pessoal.
O cinema argentino não pára de crescer em quantidade de filmes e em qualidade de sua produção. O mais interessante é que filmes como ARGENTINA, 1985 fazem isto com um humanismo e uma emoção muito difíceis de alcançar.
Nesta linha, lembro de O SEGREDO DOS SEUS OLHOS, DAR-SE CUENTA, UM INFIERNO TAN TEMIDO, O FILHO DA NOIVA, HOMBRE MIRANDO AL SUDESTE e ASSASSINATO NO SENADO DA NAÇÃO, excelentes exemplares da melhor cinematografia portenha.
A ditadura argentina – uma das mais sangrentas do continente – deixou muitas imagens eternas. Certamente as mães da Praça de Maio estão entre elas. A homenagem a eles durante o filme é outro momento superior.
Acho que o filme me emocionou mais ainda por estarmos na última semana antes das eleições presidenciais brasileiras. Não há qualquer justificativa para que os valores humanos fiquem em segundo plano.
As fotos do julgamento real, colocadas no final do filme – expediente muito utilizado nestes casos – como sempre se revela um recurso narrativo poderoso. A gente tem vontade de imitar os Hermanos e aplaudir de pé.

Ricardo Darin plays Prosecutor Julio Cesar Strassera, who carried out the task of investigating and prosecuting the commanders of the army, navy and air force for crimes against humanity committed in the name of national security, in the leaden years.
As always, Darin delivers a wonderful, emotional and nuanced performance, something that only an actor with the enormous dramatic talent he has is capable of.
The film is very rich. There is much to be noted and discussed.
For example, I really liked the way the young assistants of the experienced Strassera fit in and played a key role in the outcome. Teamwork in the best sense of the word. Great merits of the boss in leading the guys taking advantage of the gas with which they were willing to face the gigantic task in a remarkable way. In this sense, the scene in which Darin tells his Assistant Promoter Luís Moreno Ocampo (Peter Lanzani) that the TV people couldn’t use makeup to take away his personal shine is particularly brilliant.
Argentine cinema continues to grow in terms of the number of films and the quality of its production. The most interesting thing is that films like ARGENTINA, 1985 do this with a humanism and emotion that are very difficult to achieve.
Along these lines, I remember THE SECRET IN YOUR EYES, DAR-SE CUENTA, UN INFIERNO TAN TEMIDO, THE SON OF THE BRIDE, HOMBRE MIRANDO AL SUDESTE and MURDER IN THE SENATE OF THE NATION, excellent examples of the best Argentinian cinematography.
The Argentine dictatorship – one of the bloodiest on the continent – left many eternal images. Certainly the mothers of Plaza de Mayo are among them. The homage to them during the film is another superior moment.
I think the film moved me even more because we are in the last week before the Brazilian presidential elections. There is no justification for human values to take a back seat.
The photos of the real trial, placed at the end of the film – an expedient widely used in these cases – as always proves to be a powerful narrative resource. We want to imitate the Hermanos and give a standing ovation.
ARGENTINA, 1985 is a great film.
