Cada vez mais gosto de pesquisar os serviços de streaming atrás de filmes argentinos.
Ontem encontrei na HBO MAX, o novíssimo EN LA MIRA, que os cineastas Carlos Gil e Ricardo Hornos fizeram em 2022.
Um operador de telemarketing recebe, ao final de uma jornada, a ligação furiosa de um cliente chamado de Figueroa Mont (Gabriel Goity) que afirma tê-lo (e aos seus colegas) na mira de uma arma.
A partir daí, a vida absolutamente comum de Axel Brigante (o ótimo Nicolás Francella) vira de cabeça para baixo, dividida entre a angústia de ser alvo e a necessidade de resolver o caso.
O filme também se destaca pelo elenco feminino, contando com as atrizes Emilia Attías, Paula Reca, Gal Groisman e Gabriela Freire.
Sempre achei os filmes que se concentram em cenas de pessoas na mira de rifles com miras prodigiosas extremamente angustiantes. Há uma cena absolutamente memorável na obra prima de Steven Spielberg, A LISTA DE SCHINDLER, onde o nazista vivido por Ralph Fiennes toda manhã faz um tiro ao alvo entre os judeus prisioneiros de um campo de concentração. O brilhantismo da cena é igual à angústia que gera.
Evidentemente, EN LA MIRA nem pretende chegar a esse nível.
Mas como todo filme argentino recente, EN LA MIRA é entretenimento de alto nível que segura o espectador preso à tela todo o tempo.
Mais um filme argentino que vale a pena.

At the end of a day, a telemarketer receives a furious call from a customer named Figueroa Mont (Gabriel Goity) who claims to have him (and his colleagues) at gunpoint.
From then on, the absolutely ordinary life of Axel Brigante (the great Nicolás Francella) turns upside down, divided between the anguish of being targeted and the need to solve the case.
The film also stands out for its female cast, with actresses Emilia Attías, Paula Reca, Gal Groisman and Gabriela Freire.
I’ve always found movies that focus on scenes of people being held up by rifles with prodigious aim to be extremely harrowing. There is an absolutely memorable scene in Steven Spielberg‘s masterpiece, SCHINDLER’S LIST, where the Nazi played by Ralph Fiennes shoots a target every morning among the Jewish prisoners of a concentration camp. The brilliance of the scene is equal to the anguish it generates.
Evidently, EN LA MIRA doesn’t even intend to reach that level.
But like every recent Argentine film, EN LA MIRA is high-level entertainment that keeps the viewer glued to the screen the entire time.
Another Argentine film worth watching.
