O HBO MAX está exibindo uma co-produção hispano-argentino-uruguaio intitulado O ANO DA FÚRIA, dirigido pelo cineasta madrileño Rafa Russo (AMOR EN DEFENSA PROPIA).
O roteiro do próprio Russo acerta na mosca ao focar o Uruguay entre o final dos anos 60 e os anos 70, quando o terrorismo do Grupo Tupamaro enfrentava a ascensão da Ditadura Militar, cada vez mais violenta.
O centro da narrativa são dois roteiristas de um programa de humor da TV Uruguaia – tipo os antigos programas de humor da TV Globo – divertindo os espectadores com poderosas sátiras sobre a realidade nacional da época.

Russo’s script hits the spot by focusing on Uruguay between the late 1960s and 1970s, when the terrorism of the Tupamaro Group faced the rise of the Military Dictatorship, which became increasingly violent.
At the center of the narrative are two writers of a comedy show on TV Uruguaya – like the old TV Globo comedy shows – amusing viewers with powerful satire on the national reality of the time.
