As cenas de luta são impressionantes e filmadas magustralmente.
Achei a história tão incrível, que na minha opinião, o filme cai um pouco quando se dedica a um romance ou às motivações pessoais da guerreira mor das Agojie.
Não precisava mais nada. A metáfora evidente entre a luta diária das mulheres do mundo inteiro para ter direito a seu lugar e a batalha das agojie é de tirar o fôlego. Machismo, racismo, sexismo, preconceito, está tudo lá na tela.
THE WOMAN KING é um filme muito rico, que vale a pena ser visto e discutido.
E, além disso, é um belo exemplar de entretenimento de alto nível.

Extraordinary (and Oscar-winning) actress Viola Davis stars as Nanisca, the leader of the Agojies. an army of black women trained for hand-to-hand warfare.
Alongside Viola are some of the best Afro actresses today, such as Lashana Lynch (the new 007 of NO TIME TO DIE), Sheila Atim, Thuso Mbedu, Masali Baduza, Jayme Lawson, Adrienne Warren and Shaina West. In the male cast, John Boyega, Jordan Bolger and Hero Fiennes Tiffin.
The magnetism of Viola Davis as the protagonist and the incredible story of the army of female warriors keep the viewer’s interest very high.
The fight scenes are impressive and masterfully filmed.
I found the story so incredible, that in my opinion, the film falls a little when it is dedicated to a romance or to the personal motivations of the chief warrior of the Agojie.
It didn’t need anything else. The evident metaphor between the daily struggle of women around the world to be entitled to their place and the battle of the agojie is breathtaking. Machism, racism, sexism, prejudice, it’s all there on the screen.
THE WOMAN KING is a very rich film, which is worth seeing and discussing.
And besides, it’s a fine example of high-end entertainment.
