Estreou no Amazon Prime Vídeo, a série inglesa THE RIG, uma novíssima produção sobre os problemas em uma plataforma de petróleo no mar da Escócia. A companhia já decidiu fechar a plataforma e demitir todos os empregados, mas esse segredo ainda é compartilhado por muito poucos a bordo.
Lá pelas tantas, uma série de fenômenos submarinos começam a criar problemas pera os tripulantes da plataforma, dando a entender que um força da natureza não vai perdoar o que eles fizeram até ali.
Eu gosto muito dos dois atores ingleses que lideram o elenco. O veterano Iain Glenn, um escocês de 62 anos, estrelou a excelente JACK TAYLOR, além de ser um dos protagonistas de GAME OF THRONES, onde viveu Jorah Mormont. Martin Compston, jovem ator escocês pontificou na ótima série LINE OF DUTY, como o DS Steve Arnott, um trabalho realmente fora de série.
Ao lado da dupla estão a canadense Emily Hampshire (SCHITT’S CREEK), Owen Teale e Molly Wevers.
Acho que o tom de parábola ambiental, questionando o que se faz contra o meio ambiente nas plataformas marítimas gerava uma história suficientemente interessante,
A idéia de inserir a tal força da natureza, meio mística, meio ficção científica, meio terror, na minha opinião enfraqueceu a trama.
Não que não haja muitos bons momentos nos seis capítulos de THE RIG.

I really like the two English actors who lead the cast. Veteran Iain Glenn, a 62-year-old Scotsman, starred in the excellent JACK TAYLOR, in addition to being one of the protagonists of GAME OF THRONES, where Jorah Mormont lived. Martin Compston, young Scottish actor pontificated in the great series LINE OF DUTY, as DS Steve Arnott, a truly outstanding job.
Alongside the duo are Canadian Emily Hampshire (SCHITT’S CREEK), Owen Teale and Molly Wevers.
I think the tone of an environmental parable, questioning what is done against the environment on offshore platforms, generated a sufficiently interesting story,
The idea of inserting such a force of nature, half mystical, half science fiction, half terror, in my opinion weakened the plot.
Not that there aren’t plenty of good moments in THE RIG’s six chapters.
