Já disse inúmeras vezes que não gosto (e não vejo) filmes e séries de zumbis.
Mas THE LAST OF US, super produção da HBO está tão badalada que resolvi ver o primeiro capítulo.
Craig Mazin, o criador da ótima CHERNOBYL tem mesmo muito talento.
A história do consagrado videogame onde a humanidade é destruída por um fungo e os sobrevivente viram zumbis rendeu um belíssimo primeiro capítulo.
Pedro Pascal (THE MANDALORIAN) e Ana Torv (FRINGE) estão ótimos como o casal que tem que levar uma menina até a base da resistência, enfrentando zumbis sanguinários e militares da ditadura que governa as poucas áreas de quarentena.
O espectador vai sabendo dos fatos junto com os protagonistas, algo que cria um suspense quase insuportável.
Não sei se eu vou ver o restante da série (todo domingo tem um capítulo novo), porque continuo não gostando de filmes de zumbis.
Mas confesso que THE LAST OF US me fez balançar.

Pedro Pascal (THE MANDALORIAN) and Ana Torv (FRINGE) are great as the couple who have to take a girl to the base of the resistance, facing bloodthirsty zombies and the military of the dictatorship that governs the few quarantined areas.
The viewer learns about the facts along with the protagonists, something that creates an almost unbearable suspense.
I don’t know if I’ll watch the rest of the series (every Sunday there’s a new chapter), because I still don’t like zombie movies.
But I confess that THE LAST OF US made me in doubt.
