EXTRAPOLATIONS: Quem Luta Pelo Futuro do Planeta?

A Apple TV+ lançou nesta semana a série EXTRAPOLATIONS, cuja primeira temporada tem 8 episódios.

O tema: a catástrofe ambiental que já vivemos e que somente vai se agravar.

Chama a atenção o elenco reunido: Meryl Streep, Sienna Miller, Diane Lane, Marion Cotillard, Eiza Gonzalez, Tobey McGuire, Forrest Whitaker, Kit Harrington, Tahar Rahim, David Schwimmer, Judd Hirsch, Matthew Ryss, Heather Graham e muitos outros. Hollywood está preocupada com o aquecimento global.

Vi os dois primeiros capítulos. A produção, locações, roteiros, direção, tudo é impecável.

Justificadamente, o tom é alarmista. Ninguém vai fazer algo para parar com a destruição do planeta?

A série, ao menos nesses dois episódios, tenta enxergar uma luz no final do túnel. Há rasgos de humanismo que permitem ter esperança.

The assembled cast draws attention: Meryl Streep, Sienna Miller, Diane Lane, Marion Cotillard, Eiza Gonzalez, Tobey McGuire, Forrest Whitaker, Kit Harrington, Tahar Rahim, David Schwimmer, Judd Hirsch, Matthew Ryss, Heather Graham and many others. Hollywood is concerned about global warming.

I saw the first two chapters. The production, locations, scripts, direction, everything is impeccable.

The tone is justifiably alarmist. Is anyone going to do something to stop the destruction of the planet?

The series, at least in these two episodes, tries to see a light at the end of the tunnel. There are traces of humanism that allow us to have hope.

Will it be?
