Fui ver a série YELLOWJACKETS que vem recomendada por várias pessoas, além de uma massiva campanha publicitária do streaming da Paramount+.
Vi dois capítulos da primeira temporada. Já se manteve que a barra vai pesar.
Um grupo de meninas praticantes de soccer sofre um terrível acidente aéreo e fica mais 4 meses perdidos em uma região inóspita. Depois de localizadas e resgatadas voltam para sua comunidade bem diferentes do que foram.
A série é muito bem pensada, avançando simultaneamente nas narrativas pré-acidente e no tempo atual, onde as ex-meninas são mulheres traumatizadas.
O elenco tem alguns nomes pesados como Juliette Lewis, Christina Ricci, Ella Purnell e Alexa Barajas.
Por todas as resenhas e por cenas que antecipam os próximos capítulos, fica claro que a grande “novidade” da série é que as meninas tiveram que recorrer ao canibalismo para sobreviver.
Confesso que este tema me afasta normalmente de filmes e séries. Acho muito difícil de ser abordado sem cair no sensacionalismo.
O maios exemplo disso é a obra prima O SILÊNCIO DOS INOCENTES. Mas nem todo mundo tem a sensibilidade de Jonathan Demme.
Não sei se voltarei a ver YELLOWJACKETS. É possível que sim.
