Manohla Dargis e o Humanismo de HELLO, MY NAME IS DORIS

Manohla Dargis, em sua critica ao filme HELLO, MY NAME IS DORIS, no THE NEW YORK TIMES.

“Então, quando ele empurra Doris ( Sally Field), ela se prepara para a habitual confusão da  manhã no elevador. Em vez disso, ele ajeita seus óculos tortos. Com este pequeno gesto de bondade, humano ele faz algo que surpreende Doris, algo que não acontece muitas vezes às mulheres invisíveis do mundo: Ele a vê ” .

“So when he jostles Doris (Sally Field), she braces for the usual morning-elevator scrum. Instead, he straightens her lopsided eyeglasses. With this one small, human kindness he does something that astonishes Doris, something that doesn’t often happen to the world’s invisible women: He sees her.”

  1. 3b,An accepted bid of 450K would blow the f*cking doors off the comps. It’ll never happen because the realtor would have a coronary and the sellers would be &#;u20;ins2lted&#82218. I’ll email the realtor this evening and ask for details. I’m working both Saturday and Sunday or else I’d go see the house this weekend. The first chance I get, I’ll make an appointment to see this house provided it’s not sitting below sea level, in a war zone or on an island. A bid of an even 500K would put it at 20% off list. If the house is close to what I can live with, I’ll bid. I’ll keep you all posted on this one.
