ACUSADA, do cineasta argentino Gonzalo Tobal (curta metragista) é um drama de tribunal sobre uma jovem acusada de matar com golpes de tesoura sua melhor amiga que havia lhe exposto divulgando um vídeo sexual com o namorado.
O filme tem três destaques importantes: o primeiro é o elenco excelente: Gael Garcia Bernal (fazendo uma ponta relevante como um jornalista importante), o argentino leonardo Sbaraglia (da série da HBO O HIPNOTIZADOR e CONTOS SELVAGENS), a jovem cantora e atriz argentina Lali Espósito e Daniel Fanego; o segundo é o roteiro muito bem escrito que preserva ao máximo o suspense da história (um whodunnit perfeito) e ainda se dá ao luxo de criar cenas líricas como a do puma que supostamente habita aquela área de Buenos Aires; e o terceiro é a extrema atualidade dos temas que enfoca, tais como a espetacularização pela mídia dos julgamentos, a exposição da privacidade dos jovens pela internet e a frieza crescente das relações familiares.
ACUSADA desenvolve sua história utilizando o velho (e eficaz) truqe de ir revelando detalhes do que aconteceu ao espectador na mesma medida em que eles vão aparecendo na investigação e no julgamento. Cria-se, com isto, um suspense muito bom quando ao desfecho do caso.
Com uma trilha sonora de excelência e extremamente bem integrada à ação, ACUSADA é um ótimo thriller latino americano para ser visto (está na Amazon Prime Video) e aproveitado, como filme competente que consegue ser. Ah, tem uma última cena belíssima e altamente reveladora e expressiva.
ACCUSED by Argentine filmmaker Gonzalo Tobal (short features filmmaker) is a courtroom drama about a young woman accused of killing her best friend who had exposed her by broadcasting a sex video with her boyfriend.
The film has three important highlights: the first is the excellent cast: Gael Garcia Bernal (making a relevant role as an important journalist), Argentine Leonardo Sbaraglia (from HBO’s The Hypnotist and Wild Tales), the young singer and Argentine actress Lali Esposito and Daniel Fanego; the second is the well-written script that preserves the suspense of history to the fullest (a perfect whodunnit) and still lends itself to creating lyrical scenes such as the cougar supposedly inhabiting that area of Buenos Aires; and the third is the extreme timeliness of the topics it focuses on, such as the media’s spectacularization of judgments, the exposure of youth privacy on the Internet, and the growing coldness of family relationships.
ACCUSED develops its story using the old (and effective) trick of revealing details of what happened to the viewer as they appear in investigation and trial. This creates a very good suspense when the outcome of the case.
With an excellent soundtrack and extremely well-integrated action, ACUSADA is a great Latin American thriller to be seen (it’s on Amazon Prime Video) and enjoyed as a competent film that can be. Ah, there is one last beautiful, highly revealing and expressive scene.
