A NÉVOA E A DONZELA é um thriller espanhol dirigido pelo cineasta Andrés M. Koppel, a partir de um livro de autoria de Lorenzo Silva, narrando a história de um trio de policiais que recebe a tarefa de ir para as Ilhas Canárias investigar um crime cometido anos atrás e que permaneceu sem solução por que o político acusado e preso foi absolvido por falta de provas.
O trio é formado pela policial local Ruth Anglada (que participara da investigação original antes de ir embora da Ilha), vivida pela atriz espanhola Verónica Echegui (FORTITUDE) e por dois policias vindos de MAdri, o Sargento Bevilaqua (o catalão Quim Gutierrez) e Virginia Chamorro (a madrilenha Aura Garrido).
As investigações que eles pilotam vão se mostrar cheias de mistérios e reviravoltas, porquanto todos os suspeitos (e inclusive os investigadores) tem algo a esconder.
Pedofilia, violação de privacidade, tráfico de drogas, aspirações políticas, traições afetivas e sexuais, tudo complica o cenário da investigação.
No final, LA NIEBLA Y LA DONCELLAse revela um thriller interessante de se ver, exatamente pela dificuldade do espectador prever onde vai a história e quem são os verdadeiros culpados.

THE MIST AND THE MAIDEN (LA NIEBLA Y LA DONCELLA) is a Spanish thriller directed by filmmaker Andrés M. Koppel, based on a book by Lorenzo Silva, telling the story of a trio of police officers assigned to the Canary Islands to investigate a crime committed years ago and remained unsolved because the accused and arrested politician was acquitted for lack of evidence.
The trio is formed by local police officer Ruth Anglada (who had participated in the original investigation before leaving the island), lived by Spanish actress Verónica Echegui (FORTITUDE) and two police officers from Madrid, Sergeant Bevilaqua (Catalan Quim Gutierrez) and Virginia Chamorro (Madrid’s Aura Garrido).
The investigations they conduct will prove to be full of mysteries and twists, as all suspects (and even investigators) have something to hide.
Pedophilia, violation of privacy, drug trafficking, political aspirations, affective and sexual betrayals all complicate the research landscape.
In the end, LA NIEBLA Y LA DONCELLA reveals an interesting thriller to watch, precisely because of the viewer’s difficulty in predicting where the story goes and who the real culprits are.
