Aqui no Brasil fica difícil de entender o mundo competitivo da Cheerleaders no esporte americano, em especial nas escolas secundárias e faculdades. Há competições regionais e nacionais de muita repercussão, troféus e prêmios milionários em disputa, técnicos especializados que recebem salários astronômicos e uma disputa entre as meninas que chega às raias do desespero.
NÃO PROVOQUE (DARE ME), série do Canal USA mergulha de cabeça neste mundo, introduzindo um crime para dar ainda mais clima à trama. Duas meninas são as melhores amigas até o momento em que a escola resolve trazer uma técnica famosa para treinar seu time de cheerleaders. A recém chegada Collete French (Willa Fitzgerald) se interpõe entre as duas, trazendo uma delas para ser sua preferida, melhor amiga e confidente. Ela é Addy Harlon (Herizen F. Guardiola), a filha de uma policial divorciada que vivia à sombra da capitã do time, a rica e rebelde Beth Cassidy (a atriz Marlo Kelly).
Entre as três vai se estabelecer uma guerra sem fim. Para complicar a situação, a competição regional se aproxima e o time tem que estar unido para ter chance. A técnica ainda tem um romance clandestino com um militar local, o que é descoberto pelas pupilas.
DARE ME tem virtudes e defeitos. A produção é muito boa, as atrizes se saem bem, os conflitos se sucedem e a gente vê com bastante interesse. No campo dos defeitos, a história fica muito longa (10 episódios desta primeira temporada foi demais) e a trama não termina, no famoso (e irritante) gancho para a próxima temporada.
DARE ME está disponível na Amazon prime Video, Apple TV+ e Google Play. É um bom programa para uma sessão da tarde.

Between the three there will be an endless war. To complicate the situation, the regional competition is approaching and the team has to be united to have a chance. The coach still has a clandestine romance with a local military man, which is discovered by the pupils.
DARE ME has virtues and problems. The production is very good, the actresses do well, the conflicts happen and we see them with great interest. In the field of problems, the story is very long (10 episodes of this first season was too much) and the plot does not end, on the famous (and irritating) hook for the next season.
