O filme narra o impacto sobre uma dupla de sócios (e melhores amigos) de uma loja de eletrodomésticos de sucesso em Buenos Aires quando, ante a iminência da venda do negócio, um dos dois simplesmente desaparece, sem qualquer prévio aviso ou indicação.

EL MISTERIO DE LA FELICIDAD é mais um filme argentino muito bem feito. Os motivos do sumiço de Eugenio conseguem – em paralelo com as buscas de Santiago e Laura – fascinam e intrigam o espectador. O que terá havido com Eugenio?
O filme ainda propõe, diante da possibilidade crescente de uma fuga voluntária de Eugenio, a pergunta sobre “qual é o seu sonho?” ou “que vida você gostaria de ter se fosse embora da vida atual?”” Esta incômoda questão assombra Santiago e Laura, supostamente dois elementos de grande felicidade na “vida normal” de Eugenio, absolutamente inconformados com seu desaparecimento.
