Confesso que a trama, que no início parecia bem padrão e repetitiva, conseguiu encontrar caminhos para inovar no gênero.
A história policial aparente vira uma tragédia envolvendo o detetive que investiga o caso, o professor de ginástica abandonado e o operário violento.
A história de Paula é mais uma de uma mulher carente emocionalmente, como sólida e bem sucedida carreira profissional, mas que cai nas armadilhas que a solidão lhe apresenta.
É uma boa história com um final absolutamente surpreendente.

The plot begins by showing the affair of a Chemistry Teacher at a London school who has a love affair with the school’s Gym Teacher, a mediocre married man.
As the affair becomes unfeasible, the handyman hired by Paula to exterminate the rats that appear in her basement enters the scene.
I confess that the plot, which at first seemed very standard and repetitive, managed to find ways to innovate in the genre.
The apparent police story turns into a tragedy involving the detective investigating the case, the abandoned gym teacher and the violent factory worker.
Paula’s story is one of a woman emotionally lacking, with a solid and successful professional career, but who falls into the traps that loneliness presents her.
It’s a good story with an absolutely surprising ending.
