Continuo achando a trama, o elenco, os enfoques e as cenas absolutamente comuns, sem qualquer destaque.
Um resort paradisíaco recebe um grupo de ricos enfastiados. Todos os estereótipos estão ali, seja nos hóspedes, seja no pessoal do hotel.
Até a idéia de um assassinato de um personagem que ficamos sem saber até o final não é original.
No final, em aparente transgressão criativa a série tenta ousar. Sem sucesso.
Connie Britton, Murray Bartlett, Alexandra Daddario, Jack Lacy, Jennifer Coolidge, Steve Zahn e Fred Hechinger se esforçam para dar credibilidade aos personagens.
Para mim, não pegou.
Nesta mesma linha, o recente NINE PERFECT STRANGERS, com Nicole Kidman foi muito superior em todos os aspectos.
Sem contar o histórico A ILHA DA FANTASIA. Mr. Rourke e Tattoo faziam isto muito melhor.
In light of the multiple awards the series received at the EMMY AWARDS, I resumed THE WHITE LOTUS.
I still think the plot, the cast, the approaches and the scenes absolutely ordinary, without any highlight.
An idyllic resort welcomes a group of bored rich people.
All the stereotypes are there, whether in the guests or in the hotel staff.
Even the idea of a character assassination that we didn’t know about until the end is not original.
In the end, in apparent creative transgression, the series tries to dare. Unsuccessfully.
Connie Britton, Murray Bartlett, Alexandra Daddario, Jack Lacy, Jennifer Coolidge, Steve Zahn and Fred Hechinger go to great lengths to lend credibility to the characters.
For me, it didn’t.
In the same vein, the recent NINE PERFECT STRANGERS, with Nicole Kidman, was far superior in every aspect.
Not to mention the historic FANTASY ISLAND. Mr. Rourke and Tattoo did this much better.
